The rules for Craigslist are very simple, everything is done in person. You talk to the girl on the telephone, then you meet her in person. The girl is willing to send a photo of herself half-naked but not comfortable sharing a phone number with just anyone because “there are a lot of perverts out there”. If she is so concerned, why not ask the guy for his phone number and block her caller ID information from appearing on his phone? The scam here is that this is not a real dating site. It does not provide any dating service or verification service. There are no real site members for you to meet. If you give this site your credit card number to verify your identity, what will actually happen is that you may also be signed up for some useless sites. The dating verification service that the site pretends to offer doesn’t exist and the sign up form is in a frame that gets its content from another site, so all that you will end up with if you give them your credit card information is some subscriptions to other sites. You need to be smart and not give up your credit card information because you were emailed some fake photos from a girl who has nothing to do with their site. You are asked to enter your credit card info for ‘age verification’. But when you click to process the transaction you get a screen that says your credit card is no good for age verification… an obvious phishing scam. Also, the person’s name on the email I got does not match the one on the verification site. How can these sites “verify” your age, “verify” your marital status, or determine if you are a not sexual predator with only your credit card number and address information?
